Employment Eligibility Verification

USCIS Form I-9

Many employers ask notaries to serve as their Authorized Representative and complete the certification section of the Form I-9.

If you are an individual or employer located in Worcester County our staff will verify eligibility documents and sign off on the I-9 Form. No notary seal or stamp is required on the form. We will sign this form in the capacity of Authorized Representative for the verifying employer. We will indicate “Authorized Agent” in the Employer’s title section and not “Notary Public” which clears any doubts as to the capacity of the individual signing the document.

Since Authorized Representatives are designated by the verifying employer, we will require that written authorization should come to us straight from the employer in written format.
